Fish: Amberjack (Seriola dumerili)
Description The amberjack is is found in the Mediterranean Sea, It is a fast-swimming pelagic fish with similar habits to the kingfish. They are silver-blue with a golden side line, with a brown band crossing over the eye area.
Size: In Barcelone you can catch around 40 a 50 cm.
Diet: it is a powerful hunter which feeds on other fish and invertebrates.
When Do you catch it in Barcelona: June until November
Fishing Technique: deep trolling and inshore trolling with live bait.
As food: Grilled with vegetables
