Cuttlefish / Sepia oficinalis

Description : Cuttlefish are marine mollusc. Cuttlefish live on sandy bottoms and algae and it swim on the seabed . It eat small molluscs, crabs, shrimp, fish and other cuttlefish. Their predators are : dentex, dolphins, small fishes and other cuttlefish. The average life expectancy of a cuttlefish is about 3-4 years. Cuttlefish are sometimes referred to as the “ chameleons “ of the sea because of their ability to rapidly alter their skin color – this can occur within one second. Cuttlefish are caught for food in the Mediterranean

Size:  Maximum size is : 45 cm.

Diet: molluscs, crabs, shrimp, fish and other cuttlefish. 

When Do you catch it in Barcelona: November until February
