Making the Sea Accessible: bringing the sea closer to everyone.

These are very special times at charterinad.com. With the arrival of our new boat, the OLBAP TR12 Marín(us) trimaran, we have decided to renew our website too. Together with the Webs Catalunya team, we are reorganising and designing the new charterinad.com website: clearer, easier to use and focused on what we do best: fishing charters in Barcelona.

A website built around the boat

The heart of the new website is the boat and the people who make up the Charterinad.com sport fishing and boating staff. The new menu is organised as follows:

  • Home
  • About us: the Marín(us) boat, the Logbook of her construction, the story behind her name, our team and our base at Port Olímpic.
  • Fishing charters: all our trips organised by duration, type of fishing and price.
  • Blue Experiences BCN: experiences and adventures on the sea in Barcelona.
  • Nautical services: boat deliveries, training, Keep Boat Afloat Safety First and sales of OLBAP trimarans.
  • Contact and partners
  • A booking system with direct access to the deposit for each type of activity, so you always know exactly what you are booking and how much you need to pay.

Why a trimaran for fishing in Barcelona?

We have chosen the OLBAP TR12 Marín(us), a state-of-the-art 12-metre trimaran, because it offers a sailing and fishing experience far superior to that of a conventional boat.

Stability. Her three hulls considerably reduce the rolling caused by the waves. Sailing is smoother and a day’s fishing far more comfortable. For first-timers, this stability helps reduce seasickness and gives more confidence on board. For regular anglers, it is a platform from which to fish for hours in complete comfort.

A deck designed for fishing. Spacious, completely open and on one level, with no obstacles. Several anglers can cast, fight a catch and move around the boat freely and safely, with far more space than a monohull of similar size.

Space for everyone. While some fish, others can rest on the large bow sunbathing area or enjoy the Barcelona skyline from the sea, relaxing on board a large yacht.

Technology and safety. The Marín(us) will be equipped with the latest generation of Garmin electronics, Suzuki engines and the safety systems developed by Keep Boat Afloat Safety First. She will also be the test bed for new technologies to improve safety at sea. Technology does not replace the crew’s experience: it complements it.

Built to last. Made from vacuum-infused fibreglass, she combines lightness, strength and optimised fuel consumption.

Making the Sea Accessible

We believe the sea is a place to share, learn and enjoy, regardless of each person’s age, experience or physical abilities. The trimaran’s stability and her step-free deck allow us to adapt every trip to families with children, older people, people who have never fished and people with reduced mobility. We are making specific adaptations to the boat so that she is truly accessible.

But accessibility is not just about removing physical barriers: it also means adapting the activities, the pace of sailing and the crew’s attention so that everyone can experience the sea with comfort, safety and independence.

Logbook: how a sport fishing trimaran is created

The Marín(us) was conceived by our own sport fishing staff. On the new website she will have her own page, “How a sport fishing boat is built”, where we have been publishing the Logbook of her construction, with photos and videos.

We have our own story to tell, and we want to share it with you step by step.

Why is she called Marín(us)?

It is one of the questions we are asked most. Marín is our family surname, with roots in Murcia, and Marín(us) means “us, the Maríns”.

The name is a tribute to the family and, above all, to our father: to his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for the sea. A passion that is in our roots and in all those family summers on the Mar Menor and at Cabo de Palos.

Fishing charters in Barcelona

Our main activity, now clearer and organised by duration, type of fishing and price. All trips include crew (skipper and fishing guide) and equipment. They are organised into 6 types of sport fishing adventure:

Essential charter – Private fishing for small and large groups of friends or colleagues who want a first fishing experience or to organise a special event.

Private family charter and family fishing workshops for parents and their daughters/sons.

Beginner and advanced sport fishing courses.

Specialised and technical fishing charters.

Offshore charters – Blue Game Fishing

We practise bottom fishing, Sabiki Jigging, trolling (light trolling) and spinning depending on the time of year and sea conditions. We also keep our gastronomic charter with a BBQ on board, plus all the practical information: what you can catch in Barcelona, the fishing seasons and the techniques.

Blue Experiences BCN

Discover the Mediterranean. Experience the sea. Adventures on the sea in Barcelona where you suggest and we make it happen: midday and coastal charters, team building and nautical events for companies, photography and audiovisual charters, diving, romantic charters and weddings, and something new: gift cards to give experiences at sea.

Nautical services: much more than charters

On the new website, the “Other” section is renamed Nautical services and takes centre stage:

  • Boat deliveries: we move your boat with professional skippers and full safety.
  • Training: training charters and professional skipper service.
  • Keep Boat Afloat Safety First (KBA): safety technology for charter companies, shipyards, marinas and insurers. The Marín(us) is its flagship showcase.
  • Official OLBAP dealer: charterinad.com is a partner and representative of the OLBAP shipyard for the sale of its trimarans. If you are interested in an OLBAP trimaran, you can see it, try it and sail it with us in Barcelona.

Our base: the new Port Olímpic

Our nautical base is at Port Olímpic in Barcelona. We share its new direction: a public, safe, high-quality space, open to the sea, the city and people, committed to sustainability and to boating within everyone’s reach. And an extraordinary location to start every trip and show Barcelona from the sea.

Responsible and sustainable fishing

We protect the Mediterranean with responsible fishing charters, promoting catch and release (#catchandrelease) and teaching our customers to identify species, handle them and return them to the water following good practice. We collaborate with Barcelona Sostenible and the ICATMAR programme.

Experience and trust since 2012

charterinad.com was founded in 2008 and since 2012 we have been running private fishing trips, fishing courses and workshops in Barcelona. We are a nautical centre approved by the Generalitat de Catalunya, with a professional, motivated and highly experienced staff. You can read our customers’ reviews on TripAdvisor.

The new website is coming soon

Over the coming weeks we will be launching the new pages. In the meantime, if you would like information or availability to go fishing on the Marín(us), write to us by email or WhatsApp.

Because a great day’s fishing depends not only on what you catch, but on who you share it with. See you at sea.
